This is a very spacious 2 storey house, with the largest private pool allowed -12.5 x 6m -set on a lower level at rear of house for complete privacy. Outside wooden gazebo for summer dining/bbq, and a 9 hole golf course on the doorstep. The house is extremely spacious with high ceilings upstairs and arched ceilings downstairs. Fully equiped dining kitchen, with a further dining table in the sunroom. Pool is accessed by stairs from terrace outside sunroom or from back shower room. There is also an outside shower area next to pool. At pool area there is a canopy shaded section with relaxing corner sofa. 3 very large double bedrooms and 2 rollaway beds (better suited for children).
Filignano itself is located at the foot of the Mainarde mountain, within the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
It offers spectacular scenery and is an ideal village to visit if you are looking to escape the hustle of city life and immerse yourself in pace and quiet to appreciate mother nature. 9 Hole Varvarusa Golf Course is just a short 10 minute walk away, where there is also a driving range. Filignano village is a 10-15 minute walk down hill. Here you will find a childrens play park, chemist, butcher, post office, small supermarket, pizzeria/restaurant with regular live music and entertainment. There is also the Ginestre Hotel in Filignano, which is great for a meal/pizza/drinks and for a fee use of tennis, football and swimming pool facilities.
Due to its mountain location, there is an array of beautiful walks starting from the doorstep of this property. If you chose to go further afield, within 30-40 minutes driver, you can go skiing in Campitello Matese or Roccaraso. Both great ski resorts with adequate skiing. Roccaraso is also popular in summer months with an abundance of sporting activities from archerty to quad biking and tubing. Also in 60-80 minutes you can drive to either Tyrrhenian or Adriatic Sea, and visit the beautiful Italian beaches. or even explore the coastlines further. Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano are some stunning examples. If history is more your thing then Vesuvius and Pompei are about 60-80 minutes away by car, and the Abbey of Monte Cassino a mere 40 minutes(not to mention the tremendous street markets in Cassino selling everything from Shellfish to Shoes). The charming and colourful cities of Rome and Naples are also within easy reach by car or train from Venafro. The thermal baths of Suio are again very popular with various wellness centres to choose from and are under 60 minutes by car.
