Southern Croatian historic town in the hinterland of Split is Imotski and Lovreć is settled in a near vicinity. The Topana fortress from the 10th century rises above the roofs of the stone houses and provides a unique panoramic view of the town and its surrounding area. The fortress itself houses a votive church dedicated to Our Lady of the Angels, the patron saint of the town.
