We encourage you to visit the old town, surrounded by walls, while visiting emblematic points such as the Puerta de Jerez or the Plaza de Santa Maria. In addition, Tarifa is an ideal destination for nature lovers, with natural areas such as the Natural Park of the Strait, where you can go hiking and bird watching. If you feel like enjoying a day of sun, sea and, perhaps, water sports, the nearest beach is Playa Chica, a beautiful golden sandy beach with crystal clear waters. This is a very popular beach with visitors and locals alike, due to its central location and pleasant atmosphere. Being protected by a breakwater, it is ideal for swimming, kayaking and paddle surfing. Due to its location in the center of town, there are many bars and restaurants nearby to enjoy a good meal or a cool drink on a terrace overlooking the sea, perhaps while taking advantage of this privileged enclave to watch the sun set behind the mountains of Africa on the horizon.
