The nearest village is the medieval San Michele Salentino, and the nearest town if Latiano, just nine kilometres away.
A twenty minute drive will take you to the sunny south coast, where you will be spoilt for choice as to the best beaches. Take your pick from: the protected marine nature reserve of Torre Guaceto, the popular golden sands of Lido Azzuro, the scenic beauty of Punta Penna Grossa, the crescent-shaped shallow waters of Spiaggai Mezzaluna, the rocky coastline of Punta della Contessa, or Lido Specchiolla, with its amenities, beach clubs, restaurants, and watersports.
