The aerial view already arouses curiosity, an entire roof in the shape of a palm leaf in the middle of a privileged land by the sea. Leaving the crystal clear and serene waters of the Angra sea that bathes the Mombaça condominium, just a few steps are enough for the fascination and enchantment to take over.

Inspired by the traditional architecture of Brazilian indigenous houses, architects Mareines and Patalano designed the glorious Casa Folha. Designed to cause low environmental impact and promote a fusional integration between the building and nature, the house that has become an icon, subverts common concepts and breaks with the usual commonplace of beach houses as, for example, who could imagine, a barbecue exactly in the center of the room?

Its open spaces, without corridors, the swimming pool that follows the contour of the house and turns into a water mirror, the very charming hammock at the back and its seven suites, - all made up of pieces of furniture from Brazilian designs and the unique combination of different materials and multiple textures in ultra-ventilated environments - bring the perfect mix of an atmosphere of relaxation, sophistication and comfort.

In addition to the impressive beauty, from the choice of materials, organic fibers and noble and sustainable woods, to its own design, the choice of every detail was not by chance, but they fulfill a function. The central pillar that unites all the petals is capable of collecting at least 50% of all the rainwater that falls on the roof. The pointed design of the front petal allows the sea wind to enter and travel throughout the house, cooling it completely - in what, in the words of the architects themselves, can be defined by the concept of “low tech eco - efficiency”.

The living spaces are at the center of the house, integrating the internal and external environment and promoting a harmonious atmosphere between those who fraternize here and nature. In front of the house there is a private pier that gives access to the house's yacht, where a skipper and a sailor are available.

The basic staff of the house consists of a cook, a caretaker and a cleaning lady.
