On this floor, you’ll also find a bedroom with twin beds, ensuite bathroom, and private terrace.
The remaining three bedrooms are located on the first floor: one features twin beds while the other two bedrooms feature double beds. Comfort is key and all the rooms are en suite, uncluttered, and awash with natural light. Handy extras include a large closet and built-in desk in the twin room, while a double bedroom has its own cosy terrace overlooking the countryside. But best of all is the main bedroom with its floor to ceiling glass windows, large private terrace with comfortable furniture, and panoramic views. The ensuite bathroom also has its own bathtub to aid relaxation after a hot day.
Back on ground level, the manicured garden is an equally delightful place dotted with pine trees and olive groves. Spend time relaxing poolside on the daybed or soak up the sun on a lounger. Can Bou Ros is located in the countryside in the northern part of Mallorca, close to Pollensa town. Tucked into the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana, it offers peace and tranquillity and is perfect for those who want to be close to nature. It also offers some of Mallorca’s best hiking trails through mountains, valleys, beaches, and cliffs. Cycling is another popular outdoor activity and there are a huge number of cycling routes nearby. One of the most popular routes is the west coast road that runs from Pollensa down to Andratx in the south. Not for the faint-hearted, it’s a distance of 110km, although there are plenty of pretty mountain villages to stop at on the way. Golf-lovers will find several golf courses on the island, but closest to the property is the nine-hole Pollensa Golf course. Less than a 5-minute drive away, keen players can practise their handicap on this short but challenging course that meanders through olive and pine trees and offers up panoramic views of the bays of Pollensa and Alcudia.
Pollensa itself has a rich history dating back to the thirteenth century, and if you want to see historic remains be sure to visit Pollensa old town. It’s a 10-minute drive west from the villa and a pretty place to spend a morning. Visit the thirteenth-century church of Nostra Senyora dels Angels (remodelled in the seventeenth century) with its pretty rosette window and admire the old Roman bridge on the northern edge of the town. Be sure to visit on Sunday, when the main square plays host to a lively market with stalls full of fresh local produce, including wine, cheese, and fruit. Afterwards, stroll through the cobbled streets, admire the sixteenth and seventeenth-century houses, and then climb the 365 Calvari steps. It’s worth the effort as you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Pollensa and the bay.
A great advantage of Can Bou Ros is that it benefits from being close to both countryside and the sea. The fine sandy beaches in Port de Pollensa and Alcudia are just a 15-minute drive east of the villa and are perfect spots for a family day out. Swim in the calm Mediterranean waters or charter a yacht and enjoy a day exploring the coastline. After you’ve exhausted the beach and its activities, step onto the promenade and enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many delightful seafood restaurants.
