Villa Karo is a modern, bright 3-bedroom luxury villa, located in a peaceful, residential area of Javea and only a few minutes’ drive from the beaches and all amenities. Situated on a corner plot, it is securely fenced and gated and is fully equipped with security shutters, free Wi-Fi, hot and cold air conditioning and luxury furnishings. The villa enjoys spectacular, uninterrupted views of the Grenadella Forest, the mountain range of the Sierra Bernia and the famous ‘sleeping elephant’ of Mount Montgo.
The villa is family owned and managed and we have completely refurbished for 2018 to the same degree of luxury and high specification that we like to enjoy for our own family holidays.
The main entrance to the villa is via a short flight of steps with a handrail. Access is also possible to the rear of the property via just a single step. Once inside the villa, all facilities are on a single level. The dining area leads open plan from the entrance hall and lounge areas via beautiful Tosca stone archways. It has a lovely feeling of space and light and directly overlooks the beautiful blue of the swimming pool and terraces.
The spacious lounge is fully air conditioned and offers all round views of the stunning mountain ranges. It has a 49-inch TV, a large, soft leather corner sofa with coffee & side tables and subdued lighting. Relax in the comfort of the lounge and take advantage of the varied TV channels on offer, including box sets and DVDs. Alternatively put on some of your favourite music through our Bose Bluetooth portable speaker.
The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, electric fan oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and Nutribullet smoothie maker. A utility room houses the washing machine and laundry equipment as well as a separate drinks fridge.
The 3 Bedrooms (2 King Sized, 1 Twin) are set in a separate wing leading off from the entrance hall, set well away from the main living space. Each room is equipped with hot & cold air conditioning, deep luxury mattresses and security shutters and spectacular views across the large 10m x 5m swimming pool to the mountains beyond. A hair dryer is provided in each room. The master bedroom has a fully-tiled en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, bidet and sink with vanity storage. This king-sized room has plenty of storage space with its fitted mirror wardrobes, large chest of drawers and two 3-drawer mirrored bedside units. Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have double fitted wardrobes and bedside storage units. They share the fully tiled family bathroom and separate washroom/toilet. The family bathroom has a large walk-in shower, toilet, bidet and sink with vanity storage.
Six luxury sunbeds surround the large 10 x 5m pool which is easily accessible via roman steps at the 1 metre shallow end, sloping gently to the deep end at 2 metres. The pool is south facing and benefits from the full warming rays of the sun from early morning to sunset. The beauty of the pool doesn't end when the sun goes down. There is still plenty of time to enjoy a refreshing dip well into the evening with the added attraction of the colour changing LED mood lighting. Next to the pool there is a small separate garden area where a gas BBQ is provided for your use.
The large covered terrace (also known as a naya in the Alicante region) is south facing and has separate dining and comfortable seating areas. The naya enjoys panoramic mountain views through its Tosca stone archways and is the perfect place for alfresco dining - why not try a romantic candlelit dinner while you watch the sun set slowly against the spectacular mountain backdrop.
There is so much to see and do in Javea and surrounding area. There are many fabulous Mediterranean beaches, such as the golden sands of Playa Del Arenal (a 5-minute drive) or the small rocky coves of Cala Blanca & Cala Ambolo. The lively working fishing port is well worth a visit as are the beautiful architecture and narrow streets of Javea Old Town.
A wide range of water sports are available in Javea with paddleboard, Jetski tours, Flyboarding and boat trips all being popular choices. Check out http://www.maremotosports.com for more information on what is available.
For golf lovers there are two fabulous courses within 10km of the villa. Club de Golf Javea is a 9-hole course which welcomes holiday guests and is set on a gently sloping site. Golf La Sella, designed by Jose Maria Olazabal, boasts 27-holes over three courses and also offers spa facilities for those members of your party who wish to have a less energetic experience. Slightly further afield are Golf Oliva Nova, Golf Altea and Golf Ifach. Golf Oliva Nova is a reasonably flat, fairly long 18-hole course, designed by Seve Ballesteros in the mid-nineties and it is famous for its many water challenges.
There are two excellent restaurants within walking distance of the villa - Restaurant Le Bacchus and Restaurant Rossini. Many other restaurants are a short drive or taxi ride away, including the Michelin starred Bon Amb, which prides itself in its use of local produce, especially seafood. If you prefer a more relaxed and local vibe, El Kiosko Pinosol is just a 15-minute walk away and is a great place to enjoy lunch and a cold beer while listening to the local chit chat. At a similar distance The Inn on the Green is home to Javea Bowls Club and welcomes guests in their pretty courtyard with food served daily 12pm - 3pm. If you fancy giving the sport a try, they have all the equipment available for you to try your hand.
A car is advisable when staying at our villa, though the local taxis are readily available if preferred. There is secure, off road parking for 3 cars. The transfer time to the villa is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Alicante airport or 1 hour 25 minutes from Valencia airport.
We clean and maintain the villa ourselves and are happy to support you throughout your stay. We are located on site in a completely separate annex which means that we can be on hand to provide additional security, local advice and practical help whenever necessary. However, you can be assured that we will remain discretely out of sight, as we want you to enjoy the villa as if it is entirely your own.
