About Kefalonia: Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian islands, unspoilt, friendly, with a beautifully varied landscape. The beaches in the South of the island are generally sandy, & many are safe for swimming & provide excellent snorkelling. If you need a bit more from your holiday than relaxing by the pool or beach then there are many places worth visiting; villages such as Assos and the beautiful harbour of Fiscardo which especially in summer attracts many yachting enthusiasts. Also worth a visit is the beautiful church of Agios Gerasimos, the Drogarti caves and the Melissani Lake or a day trip to Ithaca.
