From the town of Bale, it's another 5 km towards the coast to reach the reception of campsite Mon Perin. From here, the holiday resort splits off in two directions: Area San Polo (around 500 m from the reception) and Area Colona (around 1.1 km from the reception). The two parts are in fact separate holiday resorts and although you can freely access both resorts, they each have their own atmosphere and facilities.
Area San Polo:
You could say that the accommodations in this part are subordinate to nature. In most resorts, the accommodations are built first and the greenery is planted last. But at campsite Mon Perin, the existing forest has been left untouched as much as possible; the accommodations were built in between the trees. The natural vegetation is managed and maintained and in an impressive way here. The winding paths around the park are paved for easy access. Area San Polo offers some great facilities, including an aqua park out at sea, a spray park along the wide pebble beach, some shops, stalls selling local produce, a grocery store, boat rental, playgrounds and various places to eat. There are several paths leading from the coast through the trees to beautiful, quiet spots on the rocks, from where you can go swimming or snorkeling.
Area Colona:
This part is quite far away from the central reception, but during high season, it has its own, smaller reception to provide you with any information you may need. The atmosphere in this part is more open. You can enjoy sea views from all around. This part also offers several facilities, including bars, restaurants, shops, playgrounds, aqua park at sea and a spray park along the pebble beach. This rocky coast is great for snorkeling, but if you want more than that, the diving school at Area Colona can help you explore more marine life.
The absolute top attraction at campsite Mon Perin is the swimming pool, which opened in 2019. The region is known for the dinosaur bones that were found in the Bay of Colona in Bale. Hence the theme that was chosen for the large swimming pool. The swimming pool is shaped like a dinosaur and it is also surrounded by huge dinosaur statues. You can even learn about the history of dinosaurs from the information panels along the walking paths. Guests of the holiday resort have free access to the pool. It is right next to Area San Polo and 900 m away from Area Colona.
The two distinctive characters, the large number of facilities and the magnificent swimming pool all make campsite Mon Perin a truly unique holiday destination.
Accommodations in holiday park Camping Mon Perin can be located in one of two areas. This is true for example for the types Standard (HR-52211-05); suitable for 4 adults and 1 children under 12, and Deluxe (HR-52211-06); suitable for 4 adults and 2 children under 12. These can be situated in either Area San Polo or Area Colona. Type Standard is a chalet with simple furnishings, but it does feature air conditioning and a beautiful veranda with garden furniture. Type Deluxe is a little more spacious and very nicely furnished in Istrian style. Here you can enjoy a number of extras, for example a second bathroom, extra kitchen appliances and more garden furniture.
Chalets from the Prestige category (HR-52211-07) are always situated in Area San Polo. This spacious type features modern furnishings, two bathrooms and a beautiful, large veranda with luxurious garden furniture. You'll be staying near the sea, which can be reached via beautiful paths between the trees.
