Srinjine - charming place with a rich history and natural beauty. Its proximity to both the mountains and the sea offer a unique living experience. The legend of Diocletian walking those roads adds an intriguing layer to its story.
The village of Srinjine is located in the extreme east of the city of Split, west of Poljica, located in the valley between Perun hill and Mosor mountain. Legend has it that Diocletian walked along these roads. On that road was the church of St. Nicholas, which dates from the 12th-13th century. century. Old people kept their treasures there, so that road was cleaned and in use, especially for going to the fields that were between Žrnovnica and Srinjin. There are numerous "living" water sources in the town, the most famous of which are the Fountain in Tvrcici, the Vela Voda spring and the Mlijak spring. This quiet corner in the east of Split has been recognized by more and more people who move and return to these areas, and in about twenty minutes from the mountainous region they can be at the sea and in the center of the second largest city in Croatia.
