Welcome to Villa Diniz, where history meets luxury. This three-bedroom house offers two bedrooms with king-size beds and one bedroom with two single beds. Two of the bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, while the third full bathroom serves guests. The large living room, equipped with a 65” Smart TV, and the elegant dining room overlooking the garden provide plenty of space for relaxation. The fully equipped kitchen, along with a barbecue and outdoor dining area, ensures a perfect setting for meals inside or outside.

It was in this house that Júlio Diniz wrote his final novel, “Os Fidalgos da Casa Mourisca”, a copy of which is available inside. A statue of the novelist stands proudly at the entrance, honoring his legacy. The property also features a preserved 19th-century wood-fired oven in the garden, adding to the historical charm, although it is not in use.

You’ll also find a laundry room with a washer and dryer, and air conditioning is available in every bedroom and the living room, ensuring comfort in any season. The property is equipped with high-speed WiFi and all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

You will appreciate the prime location of Villa Diniz, which allows you to explore Funchal on foot. You are just a 5-minute walk from the Funchal Marina, shopping malls, the best restaurants in Funchal (including those with ambient music), the Sé Cathedral, museums, bars, bakeries, and parks such as Santa Catarina Park and the Municipal Garden. You’ll also find the CR7 Museum nearby, perfect for football fans, as well as the Avenida do Mar, a lively waterfront avenue with stunning views of the harbor. For a touch of culture, the Baltazar Dias Theatre is just around the corner. Despite being in the heart of the city, the house offers excellent sound insulation, ensuring peace and quiet when you’re inside.

7. No Removal of Items: Do not take any items from the holiday rental with you. Everything in the house is there for your convenience during your stay and should remain in place.

9. Insect and Wildlife Notice: Our property is located on Madeira Island, known for its mild subtropical climate and rich biodiversity. Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, you may encounter insects such as mosquitoes, roaches, or other wildlife. While we conduct regular pest control services, we cannot fully guarantee an insect-free environment, nor offer refunds for occasional sightings inside the property. We take every precaution to minimize this, and guests can assist by keeping doors closed, properly disposing of trash, and storing food responsibly.
